Watching from the 12th floor terrace, one sees a pattern below in the life of Hamza as he is seen getting out of his abode at 8.00 PM. His wife has already washed the entrance and ‘their’ part of the narrow street…of course, the roof, along with the shared portion of that of his neighbour (both been rented decades back) undergoing the process of collapsing, the creaking and deterioration happening ever so slowly….over the years…awaiting the final thunderous roar, @ nature’s or man’s pleasure.
Unlike the ant which moves in groups, Hamza, determined to end the day at his pace, kicks off the scooter and is off…determination set on his face, not unlike, as in my friend Pradeeps assessment, a dog staggering down a mountain path, face set in determination, casting you an occasional bored look…on his way to whatever profound chore that awaits him.
But the latter part bore true on Hamza, the same determination…year after year, only to mutate into grim dissatisfaction as his side locks began to grey.
What are we setting out on to??? - Day after day, time after that.
Contemplate!!!
Was it Da Vinci who said – “Once you take to flying………”

Once you take to flying..
One still would need to land at some point unless one might want to drift or float into the unknown by choice or destiny bowls a googly at you? :-)
If the latter happens imagine an ET welcoming you “dear you are home, we have been waiting, what took you sooooo long? :-SS
Now is that an enviable position to be in or one rather sport those grey sideburns while one still has the choice to be grounded with the known and make the best of it? :D
“Hakuna Matata” IF PLAUSIBLE!!!
Cheers mate
Condolences on the demise of your aunt.
May her soul rest in peace.
Thank you for the sincerity of your solidarity
My Pleasure.
It was really more like an innate reaction, that doubled out of reverence.
