Hello

Anony - the person mentioned is the latter, I do not remember the year, but more or less that. But that being beyond the limit of my concept of Ahom, you seem to be a 'Muddled Mosaic'!!!(and who is not?)

The concepts of 'who am I, where am I, are all relative in nature. Expressions have been coined in the past, sometimes to be jolted out due to variance in situations and ideologies accepted from time to time. The write up on my friend being asked at the toll gate is a reflection of that - Are you returning? - an answer in the affirmative would have given him Rs 8 instead of the 5 Rupees for the one way fare. It is a one way journey, but you can come back once in a while to reflect, and change course if one finds the earlier path not consistent with his/her philosophy. That was his reply - "ask god"!!!

Dear Mo,

Thanks about Padma Bhushan info. Had typed Padma Bhushan recipients and looked for ladies from Kerala. The year is mentioned in there. So much for my research abilities lol

Well, you are right about reacting to situations in real time. Cost me a helluva lot phew!! Still paying a high premium! My elders chided me "why don't you stop, and take time to reflect before reacting?" Little did they know (nor that they know any differently now decades later!), I am a spontaneous personality. For me everything is Dil Serae! Trouble trouble I know, I know, hahahaha

Going back in time to reflect? Well, I do that to work on what is expected of me: Duty (Dharma, the law of being) and my heart (my feelings). Striking a balance drives me nuts.

Of all the books on spirituality, religion, philosophy, I like "The Geeta" the best. At least it relates to all that one feels and reacts to and is natural in being human. It agrees that you can afford to be angry if the situation calls for or laugh if it is funny.

I like the metaphor "muddled mosaic" hahahah

Very true! Requires lot of polishing and being an architect you know how much effort goes into the making of, one fine block :-)

Still learning Mo: my education is not over yet: actually I think, there is a good possibility it might continue beyond the grave too, provided!! my soul understands the continuity of its relationship to "me" in real time called "life" and of course wants to continue being identified with me hahah.

Hai Mo,

Yesterday I was queried about of my existence in your blog by one who surprised me by having the time to spare.

Never met anybody who had anything in common with me, except a little boy of 3, with whom I had struck a friendship on my way to work, couple of years back. After months of making baby talk, he told me aunty it is my friend's birthday today. I love the way he talks haltingly. I then asked him when, his was. Very sweetly he said 11 July! All I could think of was to carry him and give him a huge hug. I adore that kiddo, Jaison is his name. His aaya and his family were surprised to learn that his "aunty friend" shared his b'day. On my part I was jubilant to know that this little boy and I shared something. That was then and it is y'day. Muddle mosaic is an interesting character. My better half had a good laugh at the similarities. His remark, Dodo you have company, you were worried you were the only nutcase. No more. There's your virtual twin.

I am a 43 year old mother of a 18 year old, living abroad for the past 18 years, home maker, romantic (no doubts), eccentric (justifiable), religious (nope), spiritual (yet to comprehend), loves dancing, music, cooking, gardening, interior decoration/design, traveller etc.. Am Gee: one Dalda Nair refers to me as Ghee Menon. In principle I do not comment on blogs. Nothing personal. I find most blogs tend to sensationalise or trivialise information. There always is an exception as is obvious: here I am! You do have a funny bone which is so rare these days! And your credentials (webpage) hmmm K.P. Mohammad Ali,'s abode pix is admirable.

I liked your piece on 'Imagination'. My take on your query

The unimaginative soul is more often found to be cold, calculative and detached lot following a shrewd pathway that projects the saying' the end justifies the means. All that matters is to be the winner. The freespirit just goes by the flow, imagining a rainbow at the end of every canvas.

This one is for Anony…

Ek ajanabii, hasiinaa yaa dewaana?? se, yuun mulaakaat, ho gaii
phir kyaa huaa, ye naa puuchho, kuchh aisii baat, ho gaii…

Salaam namaste!

Gee

(Beg your pardon, if Hindi is not your cuppa)
