Scene 1 - Hospital Ward - "Room with a view"
There was a patient in the bed next to the window in the ward who was kind hearted. On the next bed was a patient who could not move, and who had no view of the outside. The fellow on the bed next to the window used to explain to the other about the activities in the great park outside, of children playing, birds chirping ET All, a running commentary for many months. This kept the other patient connected to the world, and made him very happy.
Then the patient next to the window passed away, and his friend was in grief. However, he asked to be shifted to the bed next to the window, which they did. Once there, and upon peering through the window, all he could see was a dark blank wall. Who put up the wall? he queried. It was always there, the wall - it was just the compassion of his fellow patient and a desire to make him happy which had negated the wall for many a month!!!

"The meaning of things lies not in the things themselves, but in our attitude towards them. Antoine de Saint-Exupery".
The window side soul's mindset proves the above statement doesn't it? Comes across as a refreshing change, unpretentious, unassuming, a classic underdog.. Both are ill, but he chooses to make the other happy with what little resources he has….a salute to such magnificent thinkers, wish we were one of them.
Thanks for sharing that..a wonderful thought to start the day with!
Dear Anony....
The bit on "on the level" was a bundled response to many of your thoughts. Who are you? I am impressed.
Quote "who are you?" unquote. Am yet to figure that out :-)
"Which part of the world you come from?" Does the Mist need a passport? hahaha
If you had chosen an independent authority to answer that question, am sure my character would be depicted like a maze hahahaha. Statistics of facts, assumptions, perceptions, wishes, and hopes as to who I am or ought to be in the "eye of the beholder" may not impress you perhaps, after all! Rather leave you confused? Irritated? (for making a wrong judgment call...."I am impressed") or simply "stupid" to have given even an after thought to Anony's impressions ;-)
I leave you with the following thought process I draw parallels with.
"It is not important what you believe, only that you believe." Anonymous(My soul's calling)
From being the eye of all attention, I am left with just an ‘I’. It happens all the time with me aka Anony!
"Anony" is the lone wanderer who traverses across different time zones, medium and space.
Quote:"The mist vanishes when the rays of the sun hits it." unquote. The (k)night-rider ain't I then?
Quote:"Strike three?" unquote. It is indeed!! It would be the home run…October :-)
